  It turned out that the radiator coolant turned acidic and destroyed the guts of my car. He clearly described what happened, why it happened and the work required to repair the vehicle (which would have been sweet multiple k dollars in his pocket) BUT he instead treated me as a friend and gave the best possible option - it's not worth the spend.

  Bob is definitely an honest mechanic. If your car does not need certain repairing or maintenance Bob will tell you and save you the money. Also he does the best brakes I have ever have done to my car. The break pads last forever, I think he uses ceramic, but whatever they are made of, they last longer than from anywhere else.

  I've taken my car to Bob twice in the last little while for an inspection. The first time he identified what the problem was and sent me back to the mechanic who originally did the work to correct it.
